Stopped in for lunch and had a really yummy time! We rarely eat at a sit down restaurant for lunch when staying at the Hilton but today was such a treat! Nice lunch menu with full plates and teishoku. I got the chicken katsu curry which looked really good in the photos and I was not disappointed! The dish came on a tray with miso soup, a little salad, and hijiki. I was not expecting the bowl of curry to be so large and the salad so small but I ate almost everything! Have to say, I'm not used to having side dishes with curry so the miso soup and salad was a nice enhancement. I gave my mom my hijiki. I ended taking home a small bit of curry and rice and 2 pieces of katsu. My mom got a tempura bowl so she let me photograph it... It looked good so when I come back I may get the tempura udon!
No frills Japanese spot in Hilton village if you are staying at this hotel and can't go too far I would recommend this place. I was pleasantly surprised by the tempura donburi- filling and tasty! I've been to Japan and had tempura there and this tastes similar. The sauce was really good. The servers are nice, attentive and efficient. It's a nice cozy restaurant pretty good for big parties - we saw a lot of big groups. If I didn't have a car and was staying here again/wanted Japanese food I'd definitely come back here
The food came out so fast and the service was real great. The AC issue must have been resolved since I came at 2pm and it was well conditioned. The salmon ikura and ahi tuna bowl were fresh, tasty, and well portioned with the variety. Glad to see some salad and miso on there. The mochiko chicken was crispy and also a hearty portion. Would recommend for a convenient lunch when you're in the area and want something lighter!
beautiful setup and I being a young teen new to the real world was welcomed in such a way they almost mothered me! absolutely phenomenal food and excellent wait staff , I was attended to almost instantly and the food is inexpensive too!! 8 California rolls for 7$ and it took seconds for me to receive my meal. they are the only restaurant that I had the courage to even as if they had Apple Pay they were so understanding and it is a must have if you visit the island 20/10 do recommend
Breakfast buffet is a hidden gem! Been eating here every day two Christmas in a row and the food quality is very stable.
We ate here a few weeks ago, and very much enjoyed it. We were able to get seated immediately and without a reservation, which was nice. As for the food, the grilled salmon plate was solid. We really liked both the dragon rolls as well as shrimp tempura rolls, as they were on point! The location was very convenient too. Definitely recommend their sushi!!
Second visit here, but my first was over a decade ago. The location is great if you're at Hilton Hawaiian Village! It's right outside the elevators on the bottom floor, so really close to the ballrooms to get a pre- or post-event drink/pupu. The space was nice and open, not too cluttered. Nice environment. Our waitress was Mandy and she was excellent. She was so nice and attentive. It was so busy (another waitress exclaimed, "we are so busy!" Lol), but we didn't really feel that from her. Definitely will ask for Mandy for our next visit! The food was yummy as well. The rainbow roll was delicious, very fresh fish. The garlic chicken was perfectly crispy and the sauce was really good. My kids ordered the fries and ribeye teishoku. The ribeye was perfectly cooked medium any the fries were great as well. My dh ordered the tonkatsu and gobbled it up. We will definitely be back! Everything was yummy and service was great!
Came here one evening, because it was literally walking distance from our condo. The ambiance is so cute, because it's as if you're walking through Japan and the restaurant is Japanese style too! It was a little hot in the room, so we opted for sitting on the outside. Service was quick and lines weren't long since we were dining for the last hour. Food is uniquely tasty, but very pricey! May or may not come back again, we'll see!
